In May 04, approximately 18 Vanu Corporation members gathered together in the UK for our very first real life meet up. We had a blast playing paintball and most of us got a bit bruised up. VBilbo and Astrolox provided some logistical support by arranging the paintball and providing a location to gather afterwards to eat/hang out respectively. Lots of thanks to those two for going through all that work. We couldn't have done it without you. I flew into Stanstead and Marakith gave me a lift from there to the West Midlands so lots of thanks to him as well.

Marakith and I arrived about 2 hours later than we were hoping due to some heavy traffic but we still managed to get in on 4 or 5 games. At the end we had a deathmatch style game where I got shot in the neck ;). VBilbo and another guy were the last two standing so they had duel it off. It just so happened that the other guys' name was Sam!

After the paintball we all made our way to Astolox's house for some really good BBQ cooked up by his mother, and then sat around chatting.

I'm really glad I got a chance to meet some of the people I've spent so much time with on Planetside. It was a very good experience and hopefully it's just the beginning. Next year maybe we can celebrate our second birthday or perhaps we can plan on something else a bit sooner?
